William Robinson was born in 1896 at Lenton and was the son of William a leather dresser and Annie Robinson née Vickers of 9 Warwick Street, Lenton. . His father William Robinson was born in 1869 at Derby and his mother Annie Vickers was born in 1871 at Lenton, they were married in 1892 their marriage was recorded in the Nottingham Registration District, they went on to have 5 children, all of whom were born at Lenton, Hilda b1897, William b1896, George b1899, Albert b1907 and Cecelia b1910. In the 1911 census the family are living at 9 Warwick Street, Lenton and are shown as William 42 yrs a leather dresser, he is living with his wife Annie 40 yrs and their children, Hilda 14 yrs a lace pattern girl, William 15 yrs a packer in a lace factory, George 12 yrs a scholar, Albert 4 yrs and Cecelia 1 year old. William married his wife Alice Boyer in 1919 their marriage was recorded in the Nottingham Registration District.
He was a packer in a lace warehouse in 1911
