Harry married his wife Edith Warsop (born 6th July 1894) in 1915 at Nottingham, they lived at 3 Wigley Terrace, Blue Bell Hill Road. Following his death she was awarded a pension of 13 shillings and 9 pence a week which commenced on 6th May 1918.

Private Harry Radford enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 17th battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment. He died of wounds on 25th October 1917 and is buried at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery Grave Reference: XXII C 10A
