He was the son of Thomas and Annie Marie Schofield and the brother of Annie Lizzie, Mabel, Beatrice Louisa, Olive May, Grace Mary, Percy Baden Powell, Ethel Eva, Inez Hilda and Harold Clifford Schofield. In 1911 they lived at 9 Barnsley Terrace Glapton Road Meadows Nottingham.

10th Bn Lancashire Fusiliers
Private Thomas Albert Schofield, enlisted in Nottingham and served with the 10th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers, he was killed in action on 9th September 1918. He is commemorated on the Vis-en-Artois Memorial.
In memoriam published 9th September 1919 in the Nottingham Evening Post :- “SCHOFIELD. – In loving memory of our dear son, Pte. Albert Schofield, presumed killed September 9th, 1918, aged 22.
