Percy Linfoot married Ethel G. Brewin in October 1914 and they lived at 56 Litchfield Road, Sneinton, Nottingham

Pte. Linfoot was called up for service and following training he was drafted to France. He was a member of 'B' Battery, 290th Brigade, R.F.A. and fought in the Third Battle of Ypres just north of the town, where he was killed in action on 04/10/1917. He was buried at Buffs Road Cemetery.
