William Henry Wootton

Father: William Wootton, born in 1868 in Nrthamptonshire and working as a stoker. Annie Wootton, Nunhead Green, London and Frederick, born in 1905 at Nottingham. Sisters:born in 1875 in Middlesborough. Brothers: Stanley, born in 1897 at Peckham, James, born in 1898 at Greenwich, London, John, born in 1902 at Nunhead Green, London and Frederick, born in 1905 in Nottingham. Sisters: Stella, born in 1900 at Westcombe Park, London and Linda, born in 1909 in Nottingham. The family lived at 77 Marple Street, off Woodborough Road, Nottingham, before moving to 6 Westville Street, Peas Hill Road, Nottingham.

William Henry Wootton worked as a milkman.

Pte. Wootton volunteered for service and enlisted at Warwick. Following training the Yeomanry were sent to Egypt, arriving on 12/09/1915. He died on 20/02/1918 and was buried at the Cairo War memorial Cemetery.
