Thomas Keeton was born in 1881 at Nottingham, he married Mabel Agnes Needham (born 30th August 1881 ) in 1907 at Nottingham, they had the folowing children, Thomas William born 3rd May 1907, Claude 10th July 1908, Harold born 15th February 1911, Frederick born 13th October 1912 and Rebecca born 29th November 1916, they lived at 5 King Gorge Street, Nottingham In 1911 they lived with Mabel's parents at 5 King George Street Woolpack Lane Nottingham Thomas 30 yrs is a lace maker he is living with his wife Mable Agnes 29 yrs a lace clipper and their children, Thomas William 3 yrs, Claude 2 yrs and Harold 2 months of age
He was a lace maker.

Private Thomas Keeton enlisted at Derby he died of wounds on 25th July 1917 and is buried at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery Grave Reference: XVI H 1 The battalion was in trenches near La Belle Alliance, Ypres (forward of Canal with HQ near Essex Farm) holding a brigade front whilst preparations were being made for the Third Battle of Ypres. Blue Cross and Mustard gasses were deployed by the Germans.
