Thomas Henry Bloxham was born in 1897 at Normanton on Soar and was the son of Charles Henry a brickyard mechanic and Elizabeth Bloxham née Morton of Park Lane Sutton Bonnington. His father Charles Henry was born in 1873 at St Pancras, London, his mother Elizabeth Morton was born in 1873 at Belgrave, London, they were married in 1895 their marriage was recorded in the Leicester Registration district they went on to have 6 children, sadly 1 died in infancy or early childhood, their surviving children were, Thomas Henry b1897 at Normanton on Soar, Edith b1900 Normanton, Ernest b1902 Normanton, Elsie b1908 Sutton Bonnington and Cyril b1910 Sutton Bonnington. In the 1911 census the family are living at Park Lane, Sutton Bonnington and are shown as Henry 37 yrs a brickyard mechanic engine fitter, he is living with his wife Elizabeth 37 yrs and their children, Henry 14 yrs a brickyard labourer, Edith 11 yrs a scholar, Ernest 9 yrs a scholar, Elsie 3yrs and Cyril 6 months old.

13th Bn Royal Irish Rifles
Rifleman Thomas Henry Bloxham enlisted at Nottingham, he initially served with the service number 26384 in the Sherwood Foresters Regiment. He was killed in action on 16th August 1917 whilst serving with the 13th battalion Royal Irish Rifles. Having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial Panel 138 to 140 and 162 to162A and 163A ,
