This is believed to be Francis Henry Kirk he lived at Furlong Villas, Furlong Street and was born 1889 in Mapperley the son of Frank and Jemima Kirk, in the 1911 Census the family are living at Furlong Street, Arnold. Francis is 21 yrs of age and is single, he is working as a clerk in a colliery office.

He attested into the Army on 6th November 1915 at Nottingham and he gave his age as 26 years and 4 months, stated he was a clerk and he was a Methodist. His next of kin was his father Frank Kirk at Furlong Street. His enlisted into the Royal Garrison Artillery with the service number of 68071. However he was discharged from the Army on 6th May 1916 suffering from TB, his discharge address being Furlong Villas, Furlong Street, Arnold. It would appear after his discharge he went steadily downhill and did not return to work. He died on 13th February 1919 and was buried in the family grave in Redhill Cemetery.
He is buried in the family grave at Arnold Redhill Cemetery. Inscription on headstone: 'Also of Francis Henry, son of the above [Francis Kirk] at rest February 13th 1919 aged 29 years. Peace perfect peace'
