Thomas William Timmons known as William was born in 1894 at Blidworth and was the son of Matilda Godfrey. His pension record card shows his mother was Matilda Godfrey (deceased) of Clifton Nook, Blidworth and his guardian was his grandfather Thomas Creswell Godfrey of Clifton Nook, Blidworth. 160th Siege Bty Royal Garrison Artillery
Gunner Thomas William Timmons enlisted at Mansfield and seems to have served as William Timmons, he served with the 160th Siege battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. He was killed in action on 30th September 1917 and is buried at The Huts Cemetery near Ypres Grave Reference: VII B 9
