Sergeant Harry Alexander Tranter, served with 7th Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire) Regiment (Robin Hood Rifles),He was killed in action on 21st March 1918 and his name is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
Obituary published in the Nottingham Evening Post dated 21st March 1918 :- “TRANTER. – In loving memory of my dear son and our brother, Sergt. Harry A. Tranter, 7th Sherwood Foresters, who was killed on the battlefield March 21st, 1918, aged 31 years.
