Arthur Anthony was the son of Arthur Anthony & Jane Sisson who married at Nottingham in 1889. They had six children, three of whom were still alive in 1911. These were Albert, born in 1890, Arthur, born in 1896 and Annie, born in 1900. The family lived at 3 Rostock's Yard, Radford, 63 Tyne Street, New Lenton and then 3 Elliott's Yard.Ilkeston Road, Radford. Jane Anthony was a widow by 1911. She died in Nottingham aged 64 in 1934. In 1916 Arthur Anthony married Frances Phoebe Sawford at Nottingham. They lived at 16 Warner Street, Radford. In 1928 she re-married, becoming the wife of James E. Cook at Nottingham. She died aged 70 in 1965.
Arthur Anthony worked as a brass bobbin winder.

Arthur Andrew enlisted in Nottingham and following training he was drafted to France. His battalion took part in the Battle of Arras and he was killed in action on 09/05/1917. His body was not recovered, but his name was commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
