Frank Hunt was born in 1895 at Greasley and was the son of Henry a coal miner hewer and Hannah Hunt née Green of Campbell Street Eastwood Nottinghamshire His father Henry Hunt was born in at Eastwood, his mother Hannah Green was born in 1860 at Shireoaks, they were married in 1886 their marriage was recorded in the Basford registration district, they went on to have the following children all of whom were born in Greasley, they were Harold b1888, Hilda b1889, Ida b1891, Olive b1893 and Frank b1895. In the 1911 census the family are living at Campbell Street, Eastwood and are shown as Henry Hunt 51 yrs a caol miner hewer, he is living with his wife Hannah 51 yrs and their children, Harold 23 yrs a manufacturing chemist, Hilda 22 yrs an elementary school teacher, Ida 20 yrs an elementary school teacher, Olive 18 yrs a student and Frankl 16 yrs a coal miner. His pension card shows he was living at 23 Terrace Road, Mansfield at the time of his death.
He was a coal miner.

10th Bn Lincolnshire Regiment
Private Frank Hunt enlisted at Ilkeston whilst residing at Mansfield. He served with the 10th battalion Lincolnshire Regiment and was killed in action on 28th April 1917. Having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Arras memorial.
