Henry Charles Reynolds was the son of William Henry and Annie Reynolds. Their children included: Ernest William (b.1883), Henry Charles (b.1885), Edwin David (b.1886), Herbert Joseph (b.1888), Albert Victor (b.1889) and Violetta Annie (b.1891). The Reynolds lived at: High Street, Wyddial near Buntingford, Hertfordshire [C.1891]; 44 Gregory Boulevard, Hyson Green [C.1901]. William Henry and Annie Reynolds don’t appear to be listed in the 1911 census but William H. Reynolds, who was a commercial traveller [C.1891 & C.1901] appears to die in Nottingham, aged 95, in 1954. If this correct his wife Annie, appears to die in Nottingham, aged 85 in 1937. In 1905 Henry Charles Reynolds married Eliza Ann Mills at Nottingham. The 1911 census shows them with one daughter: Florence Violetta (b.1906) living at 3 Auckland Street, Radford. They didn’t have any further children. His death notice in the local paper gave his address as 31 Ossington Street, Radford [n.e.p.5.6.1917]. His widow didn’t remarry and she died at Nottingham, aged 51, in 1932.

He enlisted at Nottingham; formerly served with the Sherwood Foresters [Service No.58431]; killed in action; as his body was not recovered his name was added to the Arras Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.
