Thomas Henry Belfield was born in 1894 in Chilwell and was the only son of Thomas William a joiner and Selina Belfield née Pare of Blenheim Villa Park Road, Chilwell Nottinghamshire.
In the 1911 census he is shown as a threader.

3rd Bn Grenadier Guards
Private Thomas Henry Belfield enlisted in August 1914 at Nottingham and was a regular soldier serving with the 3rd battalion Grenadier Guards, he landed in France on 12th November 1914 and was killed in action on 23rd April 1916. He is buried in Reservoir Cemetery, Ypres, Belgium.
Death notice published 1st May 1916 in the Nottingham Evening Post :- “BELFIELD. – Killed in action Easter Sunday, 1916, Pte. T. H.
