Private William Turner, served with 2/4th Battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He died of wounds on 18th May 1918 while a prisoner of war and is buried in Niederzwehren Cemetery, Kassel.
His date of death was reported as having been killed in action on the medal rolls/index card on 27th March 1918. Red Cross records state that he was captured on 29th March 1918. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission and 'Soldiers Died' confirm his death through wounds in May.
