Harold Garner

Harold Garner was born in 1896 at Nuncargate, the only son of Harold a coal miner and Mary Garner née Heppenstall of James Street Nuncargate Nottinghamshire. Harold was born in 1871 at Nuncargate he died in 1919 aged 49 yrs, Mary Heppenstall was born in 1869 at Sutton in Ashfield, married on 22nd July 1895 at Sutton in Ashfield. In 1918 the family were living at 3 James Street, Nuncargate, Kirkby.

He was a coal miner.

Private Harold Garner enlisted at Nottingham, he was killed in action on 2nd September 1918 and having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Vis-en-Artois Memorial
