Lance Corporal Frederick William Orgill, M.M 7/8th Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, formerly 11th Battalion and originally 10th Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment, was killed in action on 25th August 1918. He is buried in Mont Noir Military Cemetery, St. Jans-Cappel. His Military Medal was won with the Inniskillings, and announced in 'London Gazette,' 2nd November 1917.
In memoriam published 2nd September 1918 in the Nottingham Evening Post :- “ORGILL. – Killed in action August 25th, 1918, Lance-Cpl. Fred Orgill, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, of 26, Bosworth-road. Silently mourned. – Sorrowing wife and child. “ORGILL. – Killed in action August 25th, 1918, Lance-Cpl. Fred Orgill. Rest in peace. – From his chum, A. Carnelly, in France. “ORGILL. – Killed in action August 25th, 1918, Lance-Cpl. Fred Orgill, beloved son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. H. Sunderland.
