Private John (Jack) Samuel Trotter, served initially with the service number 48776 with the Sherwood Foresters Regiment , he later transferred to the 13th Battalion The King's (Liverpool Regiment), He was killed in action on 15th November 1916. He is buried in Euston Road Cemetery, Colincamps.
In memoriam published 15th November 1917 in the Nottingham Evening Post :- “TROTTER. – In proud and loving memory of Jack, King's Liverpools, beloved husband of Constance Trotter, late of New Basford, killed in action November 15th, 1916, and only son of Mrs. and the late F. S. Trotter, Lincoln.
