Arthur Wilkinson was the son of William Wilkinson and Agnes Brooks who married at Radford St Peter’s Church in December 1889. Their children included: Annie (b.1891), Walter Henry (b.1894), Arthur (b.1896), Ellen (b.1902), Agnes (b.1907) and Ada (b.1910). All were born in Radford. The Wilkinson family lived at 11 Dorset Street, Radford [C.1891]; 47 Dorset Street, Radford [C.901]; 25 Kennington Road, Radford [C.1911]. When a death notice for Private A. Wilkinson was placed in the local paper his parents’ address was given as 25 Dorset Street, Radford [n.e.p.22.10.1915]. The same address is given in CWGC post-war records for the Wilkinsons. William Wilkinson, who worked as a coal miner, died at Nottingham, aged 72, in 1941. His wife, Agnes, had died shortly before him at Nottingham, aged 70, in 1940.
