James Norman Victor Kelly was born on 23rd March 1887 and was baptised at St Mary Le Wigford Church, Lincoln and was the son of Frank a clerk and Emily Kelly. He married his wife Jennie Fisher (born 11th June 1886) in 1912 in Nottingham and lived at 10 Adbolton Grove West Bridgford Nottingham, they had a daughter Edna Veronica born 2nd September 1913 Following his death his widow Jennie was awarded a pension of 34 shillings and 7 pence a week which commenced on 20th May 1918.

Bombardier James Norman Victor Kelly, 355th Siege Battery Royal Garrison Artillery, enlisted at Nottingham whilst residing in Sherwood, he was killed in action on 31st October 1917. He is buried in Nine Elms British Cemetery.Royal Garrison Artillery, (grave ref VIII.D.6).
