Henry Hutchinson known as Harry was born in 1891 the son of John Frank a coal miner and Mary Hutchinson née Walters of 10 Brock Street, Sutton in Ashfield. His father was born in 1865 in Sutton in Ashfield, his mother in 1864 at Somercotes, Derbyshire. Married in 1884, they had 19 children, thirteen surviving infancy - William b1885, Eliza b1887, Arthur b1889, Henry b1891, George Albert b1893, Everett b1895, Frank b1896, Beatrice b1898, John b1902, Edith b1903, Minnie b1904, Elly b1905 and Alfred b1910. In 1911 the family was living at 10 Brock Street, Sutton in Ashfield. Henry was a colliery banksman, George Albert a coal miner, Everett a colliery pony driver, Frank a colliery banksman. Harry married Mary Nelson in 1913 in the Mansfield area.

Henry Hutchinson enlisted at Sutton in Ashfield and was killed in action on 15th August 1916. Having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France
His brother Everett Hutchinson also served during the Great War, serving with the 2nd Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment. He was killed in action on 10th March 1915 and his name is commemorated on the Le Touret, Memorial.
