Person Details
Sutton in Ashfield Nottinghamshire
He was born about 1888, the son of John and Bedelia Slack who had six children only four of whom were still living at the time of the 1911 census. In 1891 John (34, b. Sutton in Ashfield) and Bedelia (32, b. Dublin) were living in Outram Street, Sutton in Ashfield, with their three children, Alice Mary (5), Cecil John (3) and Agnes (11 months). In 1911 the family was living at Litchfield Villas, Garden Lane, Sutton in Ashfield. John's father died on 22 April 1923 age 67 and his mother on 22 June 1942 age 85.
