Thomas Henry Keetley was born in 1881 at Nottingham, he married Eunice Mary Garston (born 20th July 1880 ) in 1914 in Nottingham. They lived at 4 Mount Pleasant Kyte Street Lenton. Nottingham. In the 1911 census Thomas is shown with the Army in Hong Kong, he is listed as being 29 yrs single and a private soldier in the 1st battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Following his death his widow was awarded a pension of 10 shillings a week which commenced on 5th July 1915.

Private Thomas Henry Keetley enlisted at Mansfield and served with the 2nd battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He landed in France on 10th August 1914, he was reported missing presumed to have been killed in action on 26th November 1914 and is buried in Quesnoy-Sur-Deule Communal Cemetery
