Albert William Price married his wife Mary Florence Poultney (born 11th May 1885) at Nottingham in 1915, they lived at 26 Player Street, Radford, Nottingham, they went on to have a son William born 9th September 1915. Following his death his widow Mary was awarded a pension of 18 shillings and 9 pence a week which commenced on 16th April 1917.

Albert William Price enlisted at Nottingham and served on Gallipoli and in Egypt, moving to France with the battalion in July 1916. After time on the Arras front, the battalion moved to the Somme in August 1916. Albert was wounded, probably on 26th September when the battalion attacked during the Battle of Thiepval. He was taken to the aid station at Warloy and died there. He was buried in the adjacent cemetery.
