Thomas Watson was born in 1879 at Nottingham and was the son of Lewis James and Mary Ann Watson of 54 Radford Marsh (later Faraday Road) Nottingham. He was the husband of Ann Watson (born 26th April 1876 ) they lived at 18 Bunting Street, Dunkirk, Nottingham they had a son Lewis Watson born 28th April 1916. Following his death his widow was awarded a pension of 20 shillings and 5 pence a week which commenced on 3rd June 1918.

16th Bn Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby Regiment)
Private Thomas Watson enlisted at Aston, Warwickshire, he served with the 16th battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment. He was killed in action between 20th & 22nd September 1917 having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial
