Pte. Arthur Leonard Willis, 2nd Battalion Leicestershire Regiment (formerly of the Sherwood Foresters). He died of wounds on 28th September 1915 and is buried in Merville Communal Cemetery, (grave ref IV.F.9).
Nottingham Post obituary (abridged), 21 October 1915: 'Private A Willis, 2nd Leicestershire Regt, 10 Ashwell Street, Hyson Green, killed in action age 28.'
