Sisters: Elizabeth, born in 1895 in Nottingham, working as a blouse machinist and Ellen, born in 1906 at Nottingham. The family lived at 2 Twells Street, Nottingham before moving to 18 Twells street.

Henley voluteered for service and following training was drafted to France on 15/12/1915. He survived until 08/01/1918 when he was killed in action during a 'quiet' period in the Ypres Salient. His body was never finally recovered but his name was commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
