Father: William Edward Raistrick, born in 1857 at Pudsey, Yorkshire and working as a draper and later as a house furnisher. Mother: Alice Ann Raistrick, born in 1859 at Bradford. Brother: Frank William, born in 1891 in Nottingham and working as a cabinet maker. Sister:Edith Alice, born in 1894 in Nottingham. The family lived at 12 Maples Street, Nottingham. Henry Carr Raistrick married Kate Raistrick and they lived at 34 Loughborough Avenue, Sneinton Dale, Nottingham.
Henry Carr Raistrick attended High Pavement School. he was employed as a hosiery warehouseman.

Company Sergeant Major
2/7th Bn Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby Regiment)
C.S.M. Raistrick showed some ability to rise through the ranks to become company sergeant major. 'B' Company went to France in 1917 and were later involved in the fighting during the Third Battle of Ypres. He was seriously wounded and taken to one of the four casualty clearing stations situated narthex village of Prove. He died on 08/10/1917 and was buried at Mendinghem Military Cemetery.
