Frank William Hudson was born in 1888 he was the son of Mr & Mrs George Hudson of Milk street Nottingham. He was the brother of Nellie, Robert, Henry and Joe Hudson (Serving in France). Frank married Bertha Lilley) (born 12th June 1888 ) they had a son Frank Leslie Hudson born 27th June 1915 they lived at 15 Hyde Terrace Lowdham Street, Nottingham. In the 1911 census Frank and his wife Bertha are living at 15 Hyde Terrace, Lowdham Terrace, Nottingham, Frank is 22 yrs a blacksmiths striker, he is living with his wife Bertha 22 yrs. Commencing 22nd April 1918 his widow was awarded a pension of 21 shillings and 3 pence a week, at this date she was living at 22 Blake Street, Nottingham.
He was a blacksmith striker in 1911.

Sergeant Frank William Hudson enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the Sherwood Foresters Regiment he was killed in action during the Third Battle of Ypres, during the attack near Wieltje, Belgium. on 26th September 1917 he is buried at the Tyne Cot memorial (XII. C. 20.) Tyne Cot Cemetery
