Edgar Leslie Williamson was born in 1892 at Nottingham, the son of Henry and Annie Williamson and the brother of Ernest Victor Williamson born 1888 Nottingham. Henry was born in 1862 at Huddersfield, Annie was born in 1858 at Nottingham, In 1901 they lived at 42 Beech Avenue Nottingham.

Corporal Edgar Williamson enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 12th battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps, he was killed in action on 25th September 1915 havin no known grave his name is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial.
