Thomas Charles Miller married Florence Bamford in 1900 at Nottingham. They had two sons – Edward Albert (1901) and Frank (1909). In 1901, they lived with Thomas's sister and husband at 37, Peas Hill Rise, Nottingham. In 1911, they lived at 23, St Albans Road and later at 71, Melrose Road (both Nottingham).With effect from 11/11/1918, Florence received a weekly pension of 25s/3d for herself and youngest son.
He was a postman.

Thomas Charles miller enlisted at London whilst living at Sherwood, Nottingham. He first entred theatre (France) 26/8/1915. He died at the Grove military hospital, Tooting and is buried in Carrington (St John) Churchyard.
Nottingham Post notice (abridged), 8 May 1918: 'Miller. On May 7th at a military hospital, Sapper Thomas Clarke, Royal Engineers Postal Section, husband of Florence Miller, 37 Melrose Street, age 37.' Nottingham Evening Post 10/5/1918: “MILLER. – On May 7th, at a military hospital, Sapper Thomas Charles Miller, R.E., Postal Section, dearly loved husband of Florence Miller, 71, Melrose-street, Sherwood. At rest.
