He was the son of Samuel and Eliza Dixon and the brother of Ernest, May, Florence, Samuel and Ethel Dixon. In 1901 and 1911 the family lived at 32, Pennyfoot Street, Nottingham although Thomas was not listed on the 1911 Census.
He was a brush maker in 1901.
