His address was Freemason's Hotel, Currie Street, Adelaide, South Australia. His next of kin upon enlistment was an uncle Joseph Elliott, c/o JG Elliott & Son Market Place, Nottingham.
He was educated at People's College Nottingham. He was a labourer.
