An article was published on 13th August 1918 in the Mansfield Reporter and Sutton Times :- “A letter received from one of his pals states that Corporal Brocklehurst was buried at Morlandcourt in the soldiers' cemetery, which, he adds, is well attended to. The battalion was very sorry to lose such a brave soldier, as he was a good lad for his work. The cross on his grave reads as follows: – In memory of Np. 36015 Corporal H. Brocklehurst, killed in action 14th August 1918.” Above article is courtesy of Jim Grundy and his facebook pages Small Town Great War Hucknall 1914-1918
