Wilfrid Henry Robinson was born in 1892 in Radford the only cild of Matthew Henry a levers lace draughtsman and Mary Elizabeth Robinson née Creswell . His father was born in 1868 in Radford and his mother in 1868 in Gloucester. They were married in 1891 in Nottingham and in 1911 lived at 118 Noel Street Hyson Green, Nottingham. Wilfrid Henry married Phyllis Norah Clatworthy on 20th April 1916 at the Baptist Chapel, Palin Street, Nottingham and they lived at 118 Noel Street, Hyson Green, Nottingham. With effect from 5/9/1917, Phyllis received a weekly pension of 10/-
He was a lace designer.

1st Bn South Staffordshire Regiment
Wilfrid Henry Robinson, attested on 9th December 1915 at Nottingham. He was placed into the reserves. On 17th February 1916 and mobilsed 19th was posted to the 1st Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment. He landed in France on 14th June 1916 and was attached to the South Staffordshire Regiment on 8th July 1916.
