Sisters: Nellie, born in 1891 at Cotgrave, Winifred, born 1897 at Holme Pierrepont, Nottinghamshire, Annie M., born in 1899 at Holme Pierrepont and Mabel, born in1903 at Holme Pierrepont. The family lived at 10 Lewis Square, Nottingham before moving to 23 Harrington Street, Nottingham.

Marshall was called up for service and it appears that during training he was taken ill and died at a London hospital on 18 October 1915. His body was brought home and he was buried in the General Cemetery, Nottingham (grave ref 18958).
