Corporal James Moore enlisted and served with the 3/7th Robin Hood battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment and was later transferred to the Reserve Motor Transport Company , Army Service Corps . He died of pneumonia in France on 26th January 1919 and is buried at Huy (La Sarte) Communal Cemetery
Obituaries published in the Nottingham Evening Post on 26th January 1920 :- “MOORE. - In loving memory of Corpl. J. Moore, the beloved husband of Edith Moore, died in France January 26th, 1919. To-day recalls sad memories. - Loving wife and baby. “MOORE. - In loving memory of our dear brother, Corpl.
