Wife: Mary Elizabeth, nee Dangerfield, married 21/11/1914. Children, Harold Dangerfield Chapman, born 11/05/1913, before is parents marriage, George Henry, born 23/04/1915. Both boys died within a few days of each other, George aged 7 months on 07/11/1915 of whooping cough and Harold aged 2 on 17/11/1915 of gastroenteritis. They lived at 45 Gladstone Street, Mansfield. In 1919 Mary married Uriah Platts.
