Noel Wainwright

Noel Wainwright was born in 1900 the son of Thomas a painter & paper hanger and Elizabeth Wainwright née Hardstaff and the brother of George, Florence, Ether, Nellie, Doris and Jessie Wainwright of of 61 Derby Road Stapleford Nottinghamshire. Thomas was born in 1866 at Stanton by Dale, Elizabeth Hardstaff was born in 1868 at Hucknall, married in 1899 their marriage was recorded in the Basford registration district.

Private Noel Wainwright enlisted at Ilkeston he died of wounds on 27th September 1918 and is buried at Flesquieres Hill British Cemetery.
