Carlton Nottingham
He was the son of William and Emma Bilbie and the brother of Arthur, Lavinia and Lily (later Straw) Bilbie. In 1911 they lived on Forester Grove Carlton with Lily's daughter Lily and John Fisher Samuel's adopted brother.
In 1911 he was an engine cleaner.

8th Bn Alexandra Princess of Wales's Own (Yorkshire Regiment)
Lance Corporal Samuel Bilbie, enlisted at Nottingham, he initially served with the service number 17548 in the East Yorkshire Regiment he was later posted to and served with the 8th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, he was killed in action on 27th October 1918 in Italy he has no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Giavera Memorial, Italy.
