Person Details
Horace was born 1898 the son of William, a skinner in the leather industry, and Eliza Eaton née Duckworth. His father was born at Ashby de la Zouch Leicestershire in 1873 and his mother in 1873 at Old Lenton. They were married on 28th November 1891 in the Nottingham Register Office and had eight children all born in Lenton: Elsie b.1894, Florence b.1897,Horace b.1898 , Ida b.1901, William Naylor b.1903, Hilda b.1906, May b.1908 and Reginald b.1911.In 1911 the family was living at 134 Willoughby Street Lenton.

He died as a prisoner of war in Germany. News of his death was published on 12th September 1918.
Nottingham Evening Post 12th September 1918: - 'EATON. – Lce.-Cpl. Horace Eaton, West Yorks, aged 20, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Eaton, 22a Stansfield-street, Radford, after four times wounded, now died as a prisoner of war in Germany, June 25th, 1918.
