Ernest Richard Dorsey was born in 1886 he was the son of Richard and Ruth Dorsey, of Edwinstowe, Newark. Ernest married Louisa Forrest on 14th February 1915 at St Mary's Church, Edwinstow, they lived at Mill Lane Edwinstowe. His widow lived at 80, Seville Place, Strand Rd., Dublin.
