Known as 'Jack', he was the son of Harry and Alice Cooper and the brother of William, Emily, Ernest, Harry and Ethel Cooper of 7 Sherbrooke Road Carrington. He was the husband of Mabel Cooper. In 1921 she married Frederick Strutt and they lived at 10 Joyce Avenue Sherwood Nottingham.
In 1911 he was a domestic gardener.
