Alfred Tugby

His mother lived at Burgass Place, Carrington. His brother, Sapper William Henry Tugby, RE (Depot), died of influenza in France, 19 December 1918.

He enlisted in Nottingham

He died of wounds and is buried in Boulogne Eastern Cemetery (grave ref. 4.C.41)

Nottingham Post notice (abridged), 3 January 1919: 'Tugby. On December 19th at Charleroi, France, died of influenza, Private WH Tugby, Labour Coy, husband of Harriett Tugby. Wife and child. Eldest son of Mrs Tugby, Burgass Place, Carrington, and the brother of the late Cpl A Tugby who died of wounds, May 1st 1917. Mother, family.'
