William Henry Tugby

His mother lived at Burgess Place, Carrington. William was the husband of Harriett Tigby of Dunnville, Ontario, Canada; they had one child. His brother, Cpl Alfred Tugby, died of wounds 1 May 1917.

He died from influenza and is buried in Charleroi Communal Cemetery (grave ref P.3).

Nottingham Post notice (abridged), 3 January 1919: 'Tugby. On December 19th at Charleroi, France, died of influenza, Private WH Tugby, Labour Coy, husband of Harriett Tugby. Wife and child. Eldest son of Mrs Tugby, Burgass Place, Carrington, and the brother of the late Cpl A Tugby who died of wounds, May 1st 1917. Mother, family.'
