The memorial may have been moved to a position outside the main entrance of the company's offices from a works canteen the site of which is now owned by another company. The inscription on the memorial reads: 'This tablet is erected in memory of the undermentioned employees of these works who gave their lives for their country in its struggle for honour, justice and liberty in the Great World War 1914-1919 (names)'. The names are listed under the regiments in which they served.
