St Mary Magdalene, Market Place, Newark NG24 1JS. Chapel of St George (dedicated October 1921). Wooden triptych. Centre panel: 'For God, King & Empire, Greater love hath no man than this. The 67th Field Company R.E. (names) Their name liveth for evermore. The heroic dead. To the Glory of God and in honoured memory of (names) & the NCOs & men of the 67th Field Company Royal Engineers who laid down their lives in Gallipoli and France during the Great War 1914-18 & of the men of this parish who fell in the same cause & in whose midst the company was trained.' Left side panel: 'Names of the men of this parish who fell inthe war 1914-1918 (names A-Ka) These are they which came out of great tribulation.' Right side panel: (names K-W) God proved them and found them worthy of Himself.'
