Holy Rood Church, Ossington, Nottinghamshire, NG23 6LJ. Pressed metal strips taken from two battlefield crosses which marked the graves of G/18859 Sgt Moyes MM The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment), and Lieut Denison, 15th Bn Sherwood Foresters, who died on the same day, 26 March 1918, and are buried in St Pierre Cemetery, Amiens, France (grave ref. IX.G.I). The battlefield crosses no longer survive and the metal strips have been mounted on the panelling in the church. For further details about Sgt Moyes see Denison's personal record.
