Rainworth - St Simon & St Jude's Church - Lectern

The brass lectern at St Simon and St Jude's Church around which Rainworth's Great War dead are honoured.

St Simon and St Jude, Southwell Road East, Rainworth, near Mansfield. Rainworth's fourteen Great War dead are commemorated around the brass lectern column. Following World War Two, a wooden plaque was added at the base which honours service from both conflicts although the 21 names listed on it are probably WW2 casualties since the names of the Great War casualties were already commemorated on the lectern.
