Stone Cross

UKNIWM Ref - 26622

All Saints Church, Plungar Road, Granby NG13 9PY. Wheel-cross surmounting a square plinth and two stepped base. Inscription is on a tablet mounted to the front face of the plinth (War Memorials Register): "To the Glory of God and in honoured memory of those who gave their lives in the Great War 1914-1918" and "Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. St. John XV.v.13" There is also a Roll of Honour in the church, listing the names of those who died in the First World War and those who served in the Second World War (WMA26623).
